Why are we here?
To equip, edify, and encourage the women of the Palmetto Presbytery!

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch” – Isaiah 62:1
“Teach what is in accord with sound doctrine….Likewise, teach the older women …Then they can train the younger women…so that no one will malign the word of God”Titus 2:3-5

When the PCA was being formed, the importance of building an effective women’s ministry was recognized. It was believed that for the PCA to be an effective ministry, men and women would need to use their gifts in concert to build the church.

At the 1st General Assembly in 1973 a statement was adopted. It reads in part… “Women in the Church can offer their special gifts and talents to the Lord through His Church. Each individual woman may make a unique contribution to the life of the Church… women have gathered together in a definite organization in the local Church and in the Presbytery [so] that they may work effectively to further the Kingdom of Christ.”

Palmetto PresWM consists of ALL the women in our particular Presbytery churches and exists for the purpose of connecting our women together through:

  • Retreats and gatherings for spiritual growth and fellowship
  • Communicating PCA resources and opportunities
  • Providing help & encouragement to local women’s ministry organizations

The PresWM organization is guided by a constitution and its leadership consists of a PresWM leadership team.

We are in process. Simply stated, guided by prayer and discussion, we desire to have PresWM continue to be women in the Lord, joining together to effectively encourage one another in spirit, work and fellowship.
